Have you ever wished you could go back in time and make different choices, do things differently, go back and pick a different path? We all make choices every day, and sometimes these choices leave us with feelings of regret – wondering what made us do what we did!! This short Course – “Mindful Choices in a Complex World: Living without Regret” is here to do just what it says – help you understand and navigate the challenges that life throws at us, with awareness, and minimise regret..
This course is for anyone – whether a student, or parent, or professional, or even retired – who struggles with decisions and just wants to make better choices. Through a few thought experiments, you will explore some complex scenarios and come to grips with the factors that make your choices so complicated – in relationships, at work, or when facing personal challenges. In the process, you will come face to face with your own values and priorities.
Along the way, we will discover what makes us act the way we do; how our context, or our circumstances, affect our choices and decisions; and how to handle tricky moments when the law says one thing but our gut says another. What happens when being honest and truthful goes against staying loyal? We explore regret too – what is it’s nature, and propose a simple framework to deal with dilemmas. With a few examples, we wrestle with situations that bring us face to face with our own values, and help us emerge as winners. Oh, and let’s not forget that sneaky trap: the Boiling Frog syndrome that catches most people off guard.
No fancy jargon – just a practical, basic toolkit, that puts us in touch with our own values, and helps to tackle complex situations, big or small, that life challenges us with. No prior knowledge is needed – just a willingness to jump in and make choices that feel right for you. Good Luck!
Who this course is for:
- This Course is intended for anyone fascinated by human behaviour;
