In this course, I guided students through the fundamentals of web development by teaching them how to create a professional portfolio website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I started with the basics of structuring web pages using HTML, followed by styling them with CSS to make the website more attractive and user-friendly. Later, I introduced JavaScript to add interactivity and dynamic behavior to the website.
I also showed students how to design different sections of a portfolio, such as About Me, Skills, Education, Projects, and Contact, so that they could present their personal and professional information in a clear way. A key part of the course was implementing a contact form. I explained how to build the form, use form submit functionality, and connect it so that messages could be received directly through email. This gave students hands-on experience with practical features used in real websites.
Another important learning outcome was teaching students how to host their portfolios live on the internet. I guided them step by step through the process of deployment, so they could proudly share their work online and make it accessible to anyone.
By the end of the course, students not only built their own portfolio websites but also gained confidence in applying front-end technologies to real projects. My role was to provide knowledge, guidance, and support so they could strengthen their skills in web development and take their first steps toward becoming professional developers.
