MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Jan Davidson
I have been in recovery from substance abuse since 9/14/1992. The misery of my addiction became the platform for my journey in college to pursue a Bachelors in Addiction Studies.
I personally understand addiction, trauma, and grief and the affect, gaining profound insights into their effects. Grief is the normal and natural emotional reaction to the loss of any kind and can affect every area of your life. My journey has taught me that change is achievable, leading to a rediscovered self and a clearer perspective on life. My transformation fuels my passion to support others, showing that stagnation isn’t their fate.
I have credentials as a CADAC II Addiction Counselor, MATS (Medication Assisted Treatment Specialist), AGRMS (Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist), CCTSA (Clinical Trauma Specialist-Addiction), Mindfulness Teacher/Practitioner, and Master Life Coach. I am also a Trainer for the SAMSHA Gains Center, I lead workshops on trauma-informed responses in the criminal justice system.
What drives me is witnessing the hope in others, empowering them to invest in themselves for personal development.
Join us and become a beacon of support and understanding for those navigating the challenging path of grief. Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of those who need it most.
