MikroTik is a Latvian company that manufactures equipment for computer networks. It sells systems and products for wireless use and routers. It was founded in 1995, with a sales focus on the emerging wireless technology market.

The company’s main product is the Linux-based operating system called MikroTik RouterOS. It allows any x86 platform to become a powerful router, with functions such as VPNs, Proxy, Hotspots, Bandwidth Control, QoS, Firewall, among others, which vary according to the level of the system license purchased.

In addition, it is possible to create a very secure network, with an efficient firewall and connection concatenation (link aggregation) and we also have support for advanced routing protocols, including BGP, RIP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.
