We all make choices every day, and sometimes these choices leave us with feelings of regret – wondering what made us do what we did!! This short Course – “Mindful Choices in a Complex World: Living without Regret” is here to do just what it says – help you understand and navigate the challenges that life throws at us, with awareness, and minimise regret..

This course is for everyone – whether a student, or parent, or professional, or even retired – who struggles with decisions and just wants to make better choices. Through a few thought experiments, you will explore some complex scenarios and come to grips with the factors that make your choices so complicated – in relationships, at work, or when facing personal challenges. In the process, you will come face to face with your own values and priorities.

The journey is broken up into easy steps – needing just about 10 minutes of your attention during each stage. The course progresses from understanding what influences and drives our actions, to the distinction between what is legal and what is ethical, to exploring the nature of regret, to actually using the framework we develop, to wrestle with different kinds of dilemmas. And of course, ways to avoid the trap that sneaks up on us (The Boiling Frog!).

No fancy jargon – just a practical, basic toolkit, that puts us in touch with our own values, and helps to tackle complex situations, big or small, that life challenges us with. No prior knowledge is needed – just a willingness to jump in and make choices that feel right for you. Good Luck!
