Description
This is a compilation course—a mixed bag of things I’ve learned from over 8 years as an entrepreneur. From being $100,000 in debt to starting an SEO agency that grew to 20+ employees, 100s of clients, and culminating in a successful multi-7-figure sale.
Enjoy, and never stop learning—the digital world is a fun one.
Cheers,
Devin Schumacher
Founder, SERP
Devin Schumacher (born June 10, 1987, in Glendale, CA) is an American entrepreneur, internet personality, author, actor, music producer, podcaster, teacher, hacker, and philanthropist. He is widely considered to be the world’s best SEO and grumpy cat impersonator.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a degree in Finance and a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder – Leeds School of Business, Devin moved back to Los Angeles, CA to pursue entrepreneurship. This happened to be right in the middle of 2009: high-tide for the world’s biggest financial crisis since The Great Depression.
Fast-forward about 1500 days of 90-minute each-way soul-crushing LA traffic to a bank floor job, he finally embarked on the world of entrepreneurship (and producing music). Having played the trumpet in the orchestra since childhood and growing up listening to French house, he naturally gravitated toward producing disco/funk music.
After failing in real-life entrepreneurial ventures, a quick realization that marketing was the key component to success for any business, entrepreneur, artist, or human with a pulse propelled him to SEO and led to the eventual creation of SERP Agency, which he successfully exited for 7-figures in just over 3 years.
Today, Devin is widely regarded as one of the top SEOs on the planet and a rising star in the entertainment world, with content that reaches millions of people a month. But don’t let his impressive skills fool you—he’s still a down-to-earth guy who’s always looking for ways to make a positive impact on society through his philanthropic endeavors and never taking things too seriously. Intelligence over appearance and impact over income, Devin never stops learning and is always trying to stay funky.
Devin also wonders why bios are always written in the third person, as if the reader seriously believes the person didn’t write it themselves.
