This course is a Workshop Plan for a workshop that is tailored for art therapy students interested in integrating video journaling into their therapeutic practices. The workshop is designed to be beginner-friendly, focusing on using smartphones for video creation. By the end of this workshop, participants will have a fundamental understanding of video journaling techniques, basic video editing skills, and how to use these tools to enhance their therapeutic practice.

The objectives of the workshop:

1. Understand the concept and therapeutic benefits of video journaling.

2. Learn basic video recording techniques using smartphones.

3. Explore creative ways to express emotions and thoughts through video.

4. Gain introductory skills in video editing using simple, accessible apps.

5. Create a personal video journal entry as a reflective practice.

The course is in three stages:

Stage 1 : outline of the workshop

Stage 2 : activities to take place as part of the workshop

Stage 3 : specific topics such as Communication, Reflection and Expression; Reflective questions and Emotional Exploration.

Remember: this course is a PLAN for the workshop; it shows you how to plan the workshop, who it is for, what should be in it.

This is a short course, allowing you to watch it in 1-2 sittings and then devise your own workshop. you then return to the course and submit suggestions, ask for advice and reflect on what your intended audience want.
